Community Sponsorship
SKYCITY Hamilton is a major sponsor of sports teams and events in the Waikato. These sponsorships provide further evidence of our support for the Waikato region and its people.
Waikato Rugby
SKYCITY Hamilton has been a significant sponsor of Waikato Rugby since we opened. Waikato rugby has a very strong community following and SKYCITY is proud to have been a part of supporting the team to date.
Te Rapa & Cambridge Raceways
We have an ongoing relationship with Waikato Racing Club at Te Rapa and also with the local trotting industry through our sponsorship at Cambridge Raceway.
This year at Te Rapa we sponsored the SKYCITY Hamilton Casino Cup on 31 January, as well as the SKYCITY Hamilton Casino Premier on 7 February, which included a preview at SKYCITY for their inaugural Fashion in the Field event.

The team at Cambridge Raceway are focused on bringing major trotting events to the Waikato, and as such SKYCITY Hamilton supported the $1 Million Harness Jewels event in 2008, as well as the major Christmas 2008 races that saw Australasia's number one trotter Auckland Reactor prove his elite status once again.
Melville United Football Club
This year, Zone Sports Bar is supporting the Melville United Football Club. Melville Football Club is 250 members strong, and is considered to be the flagship football club in the Waikato.
